Team Structure Expectations
All teams must have a team manager. Team Managers play an important support role to Coaches by taking on the following responsibilities:
- Parent communication support
- Sideline behaviour management
- Organising scoring/timing rosters
- Coordinating team tasks (fruit, etc.)
Uniforms & Equipment
Uniforms and equipment will be issued at the Meet & Greet on 30th April 2026.
SCNC Equipment:
- Kit bag (netballs, pump, first aid kit, training aids, etc.)

All items must be returned at the end of the Winter season in their original condition. Kit bags are required to be returned prior to the Spring season and must be re-signed out through Vanessa Farber.
Working with Children Requirements
Anyone aged 18+ requires a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) unless exempt. Applications are completed via Australia Post. Forms must be signed by a club executive (President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer) to receive the volunteer rate.
Once you have received your WWCC, please provide a copy to the Secretary for record keeping secretary@swanchristiannetballclub.com

- Individuals under 18
All exempt individuals must complete and return a Volunteer Exemption Form to the club for record keeping. Please send completed form to the Secretary for record keeping secretary@swanchristiannetballclub.com
Communication Expectations
The Heja App is our primary communication tool for all teams.
Team Managers are is responsible for setting up the team in the app, adding players and parents. Both the Coaches & Team Managers will be responsible for keeping all information current throughout the season.
Coaches are responsible for scheduling games and training sessions within the app, allowing players and parents to RSVP to events. This ensures that everyone stays informed and organised throughout the season.
Game Day Responsibilities
On game day, it’s important to ensure matches run smoothly and accurately. Responsibilities are divided based on the team listed on the draw:
- Home Team (first team listed): Collects the scorecard and records all scores for the match.
- Away Team (second team listed): Provides the timer. For NetSetGo and Year 6 games, the timer acts as an observer only.
- Winning Team: Returns the completed scorecard to the office.
Please ensure to:
- Record all fill-in players in the designated section of the scorecard
- Enter all player positions correctly for each quarter
This structure ensures fairness, consistency, and accurate record-keeping for every game.
Years 7-12 Voting System
Team Managers will implement a voting system to determine:
- Fairest & Best
- Runner-up
Suggested approach:
- Use a 3-2-1 voting system each game
- Rotate parent voters to ensure fairness
Optional:
- Include umpires in voting
Team Managers will be provided with voting slips via the Coaches & Team Managers Heja group.
This season, Team Managers will also have access to the PlayHQ Team Portal to record votes directly into the system. It is recommended that paper votes are kept in a safe place (e.g. envelope) after being entered.
Votes will be automatically calculated within the system, with recipients announced at the End-of-Season Wind-Up & Awards Celebration.
Compulsory Coaching Feedback
At the end of the season, it is a requirement of the coaches to submit feedback to club. Submitting the Coach Feedback Form is essential for guiding future team selections and supporting the ongoing development of players.
The form can be accessed here or below under the resources section.
